Trolleybuses out of service with car no. 02



The trolleybus no. 02II of the German type KEO I (war unit bus standard size 1) was built on a chassis of the type MPE 1 during World War II. Originally the trolleybus no. 02II was manufactured for the city Leoben/Austria. On the end of the year 1944 the company Siemens Berlin sent the vehicle outside because destruction by World War II with switching components of the type SSW ONW6 however without electrical engine. Electrical engines of the type BBC (61 kW) was from destroeyed trolleybuses. In the year 1955 the trolleybus was reconstructed by KAFA Berlin-Schöneweide.

The trolleybus no. 02III of the Czech type ŠKODA 9 Tr0 was in service from May 1962 to August 1977 in Eberswalde. In July 1969 the trolleybus no. 02III was reconstructed by Verkehrsbetriebe Eberswalde.

The trolleybus no. 02IV of the Czech type ŠKODA 14 Tr03 was sent to the public utility Potsdam on 20 January 1990. The reason given was that this would reduce the working rolling stock in Eberswalde to one uniform vehicle type, nameley the articulated trolleybus of the Hungarian type Ikarus 280.93. In Potsdam the trolleybus had have the car no. 982.

On 15 February 1993 the trolleybus was sent further to Ostrava/CZ. In Ostrava/CZ the vehicle was reconstucted.

In 1994 the trolleybus was sent further to Iwano-Frankowsk/UA and had there the car no. 159.

The articulated trolleybus no. 02V of the Hungarian type Ikarus 280.93 came from the public utility Potsdamb to Eberswalde on 22 January 1990. In Potsdam had the articulated trolleybus the car no. 953. From 1995 the trolleybus was reserve in Eberswalde.

The photo was made in 1999 and shows the articulated trolleybus no. 02V respectivly 002 of the Hungarian type Ikarus 280.93 at depot Nordend in front of the old repairing station.

The trolleybus was taken out of service in 1997 and sold to Timisoara/Romania. The trolleybus was transferred on 09 November 1999 by railway with railway low load wagon from the goods station Eberswalde.
